As expected from a celebrity parent, the newest celebrity baby has been given a very unusual name.Cate Blanchett and husband, playwright Andrew Upton, have welcomed another addition to the family. Baby Ignatius was born in Sydney, Australia and joins Blanchett's two older sons, Dashiell John, 6, and Roman Robert, 4. The name Ignatius is commonly associated with Christianity. Almost all of the top 20 popular baby boy names in the US alone have associations with Christian leaders and saints. Blanchett herself studied acting at the Methodist Ladies' College in Melbourne, Australia, pointing to a religious background that may have inspired the name choice. According to the Social Security Administration, the name Ignatius has not been in common use since 1930, reaching its peak in popularity back in 1911. Ignatius is among a large selection of names from the 30's that sound unique and unusual to our modern ears.
