Nash joins brothers Zoran, Caje and Thatcher. Cat and her wife of ten years, Jennifer, celebrated the birth of Thatcher just two months earlier. The couple planned their pregnancies close together so they could share the newborn experience together. Like surrogates, Cat carried Jennifer’s embryo, and Jennifer carried hers. The same sperm donor was used for all four children. The name Nash is of English origin and means “at the ash tree.” Nash was the surname of poet Ogden Nash as well as famed mathematician John Forbes Nash, the Nobel winner who inspired the film A Beautiful Mind. Nash’s middle named pays tribute to Cat’s maternal grandfather. In Hebrew, Lemuel means “devoted to God.” The Coras live in Santa Barbara, California. Using surnames like Nash and Thatcher is a growing trend among girls and boys. Comment below: would your last name make a good first name?
