The newest celebrity baby pair may have sparked an international baby name trend, and parents expecting twins across the country are wondering whether to take part in  Hollywood's latest fad in the making.

The news has been in for weeks, Jennifer Lopez and husband singer Marc Anthony have named their twin babies Max and Emme.  While most in Hollywood have opted for the outrageous and ultra-creative names for their babies, the Lopez-Anthony couple have chosen a more traditional route for their new family additions. Both names Max and Emme are very familiar around the country, yet surprisingly neither appear on the top 100 most popular baby names list compiled by the Social Security Administration.  This is not to say that variations and similar versions of the names are not in commonly chosen by parents.

The name Emme is the clearest example.  Sister spellings include the most popular baby girl name Emily and its runner-up Emma.  When it comes to the chosen baby boy name, Jennifer Lopez proves that X is back.  Names with the letter “x” and others with the “x” sound are popping up all over the top 100 charts and becoming more popular each year.  The names Alexander (12th place), Jackson (36th place), Alex (67th place), and Xavier (78th place) are examples among baby boy names, not to mention other celebrity choices such as Maddox, Trixibell, Pixie, and Moxie.

With the proven track record Hollywood has had on influencing baby name decisions among US parents, those wishing to be the first to snatch a new trend in the making may be naming their babies Max or Emme in the next year.  With the birth of multiples on the rise and the subsequent pressure for finding the best twin baby names, Lopez and Anthony may have found a great solution to that ever pending complexity of double names.

I was surprised by their name descions. You'd think because of their Lation and Spanish heritage, they'd name their kids something like that. But then again, the couple has pretty boring name themselves. Jennifer and Marc are pretty plain names. So, maybe they just like those kinds of names.

I think that your baby name is so plain it should be a name that is not common ,or spelled the same or have a little twist in it.
