Project Runway recently challenged its designers to come up with the ultimate maternity outfit. The women who modeled the designs wore artificial baby bumps. In reality, it seems to be the year for pregnant supermodels.

The world’s best-known supermodel, Heidi Klum, is pregnant with baby number four! Klum, 36, is already Mom to Leni, 5, Henry, 3, and Johan, 2. Klum is married to musician Seal. Their baby is due in November.

Adriana Lima
Another Victoria’s Secret beauty, Adriana Lima, is expecting her first child. Lima, 28, is married to NBA player Marko Jaric. The couple married on Valentine’s Day, 2009. Their baby is due this winter.

Alessandra Ambrosio
Brazilian beauty, Alessandra Ambrosio, gave birth to her first child on August 24, 2009. Ambrosio and husband Jamie Mazur named their daughter Anja Louise Ambrosio Mazur.

Karolina Kurkova
Karolina Kurkova, 25, won’t be modeling underwear for this year’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show. Kurkova and fiancé Archie Drury, a film producer, are expecting their first child this month.

Gisele Bundchen
Gisele Bundchen and her football-player husband Tom Brady are expecting their first child together on December 14, 2009. The 29-year old model has said, “I am crazy about children,” and is helping raise Brady’s 21-month-old son John from a previous marriage.
