First of all, check with your state Attorney General, local consumer protection agency and the Better Business Bureau to find out if anyone has filed complaints about the agency you're considering. One of the easiest ways to eliminate counseling agencies, is asking them to send you information about themselves (you don't need to provide any details about your own situation). If they refuse such a request, you should usually move on to a different company. |
