You have crossed the half way point of your pregnancy. Things are going to be more intense from now on but your body will know how to handle these changes.
So, what are your physical changes? Some of the symptoms you may endure during the fifth month are: navel discomfort, cramping all over your body, pregnancy haze , round ligament pain, changes in vision, breast changes (again) and increased foot size. You may feel your uterus just below your navel and experience your baby's first kicks. It is a memorable experience. These kicks will grow stronger as your pregnancy progresses. How are you feeling? Emotionally this is probably the month with the most changes. On the one hand you feel special, cannot wait to meet your baby, but on the other hand you may, at times, feel overwhelmed with attention and advice. Everybody from your mother to your grocery store cashier, has an opinion. This can be confusing at times. When you get a chance, you may consider going away for a weekend for reflection and relaxation. Many moms to be have reported over-sensitivity. You are gushing with emotions and sometimes you release them by crying, getting upset and just being moody. If you feel this way, you may consider going for a walk, getting a cup of coffee (not excessively) or shopping. Ease your nerves by going out and not thinking about your state. Ultrasound – should I buy a makeup kit or a baseball mitt? An ultrasound is usually done between the 18th to the 21st week. An ultrasound is primarily done to observe the baby's growth: its structure, heart beat and other organs. A sonogram cannot determine the baby's health, but is an affective tool in finding irregularities. The main attraction for you may be finding out the sex of your baby. This is an extremely emotional and even life changing event. This is your first chance to see your child, and a lot of moms claim this to be the first time they were ecstatic over their pregnancy. Get your partner to go with you. This is a historic moment, your first picture of your baby! This could give your partner a new perspective into your pregnancy and what you are experiencing. I am 5 months and it feels great. I mean I have my days but for the most part im loving it. My boyfriend thinks that im a nut case, he thinks that im too sensitive. Im always telling him that he is being mean to me. But he likes it so...lol. But my favorite part is when she kicks and she is moving around. I also like when im laying down on my back and I can actually she my belly moving because she's moving.
