Congratulations, you have made it to the second trimester!

Month 4The fourth month is when things really progress: you are growing faster than ever and your baby is as well. You may begin to look pregnant, the early symptoms such as nausea are gone, and your physical and mental energy is higher. The shock and awe of the first trimester is easing and you are becoming accustomed to your status as an expecting mother.

So, what are your physical changes?

First, you are beginning to show. Your old clothes are no longer fitting freely. For many women it is a hard pill to swallow. On coping and fitting for maternity clothes see related articles:

Other Symptoms: Reduced nausea, high energy, hot flashes, vaginal discharge, and starting to produce Colostrum

How are you feeling?

Since you are almost accustomed to your pregnancy, you may feel relief from the emotional roller coaster of the first trimester. Other feelings you may experience: excitement, pride of being pregnant and fertile and sexy.

Staying Active

Make use of this period to be as active as you can. Mild aerobics, swimming, Pilates, Alexander technique or just walking around the block should be done when ever you have time. This is your golden time, the time that you are pregnant, but still active and energized.
