The baby can hear noises outside the womb. Your Baby
The rapid growth your baby has gone through in the past weeks may be slowing down, and the nest period to come is crucial in insuring the baby’s survival. Your immune cells are being transferred through the placenta to protect the baby from viruses that you have had. The senses are developing as the nerve cells that respond to smell, light, touch and smell are maturing in the baby’s brain. The baby can hear noises outside of the womb and may startle at loud sounds. The voices and sounds that a baby hears while in the womb will be soothing when heard after birth. The baby will grow to about 6.5 inches this week. Changes in your Body At this point you are about half-way through your pregnancy. Your uterus should be felt approximately at the level of your navel. The muscles in the urinary tract relax at this point, and the risk of bladder infections increases. Your breaths may be more deeper now, and you may find yourself sweating more due to an increase in thyroid activity. Further reading< Pregnancy week 19 Pregnancy week 21 >Comments (7)

i would not worry about it. i am not showing either and i have had 2 ultrasounds and i am fine and so is the baby. my mom did not show in any of her 3 pregnancies. i am wearing a size 0 in pants and some people cannot believe i am pregnant. think of it this way....you won't have to buy a lot of maternity clothes. lol

I was pregnant with my first and didn't look pregnant till 6 months. Finally, 7 months and I looked like a pregnant chick. As long as you are healthy and feeling good, you are fine. I only had one ultrasound at 4 months and the rest of my checkups were just to hear the heartbeat and have the doctor feel my "bump"! He is a perfect baby boy! If you are like me, you will not gain a whole lot, I gained 18.5, and you'll lose it really quick (I breastfed and lost it all in a month). I only started really exercising a little before getting pregnant and was 25. I'm confident that you are absolutely fine. Blessed and fine.

I'm 20 weeks along and i am showing too not alot but i don't have a nice row of abs anymore. i have a Q for all married people my husband doesn't want to have sex anymore in fact i pretty much have to make him or guilt him into it. im super depressed and even he says he misses my old body. i haven't gained that much weight at all only about 5 pounds and i feel hopelessly lost. and extremely unattractive! what can i do to save myself from feeling this way of to get my husband turned on again. mind you i used to pose in a swim suite for money my husband is used to a hot body and i know i will lose it and be back to that shape but i cant deal with this for 4 months longer!

I am 20 wks also and im not all that big myself..i used to feel the same way..like, why am i not showing but all of my ultrasounds were fine. Me and the baby are in good condition. The only way you'll know im pregnant is if you look real close. I know im fine though because my baby is realy active already and i feel him moving all the time. Try not to worry so much..you and your unborn are doing Great!!
