The baby reaches more than 11 inches in length.

Your Baby

Your baby can hear sounds penetrating the abdomen!  Male voices are lower and reach the baby easier – so Dad, your baby can hear you!  By this week the proportions of the baby’s body are very similar to those of a baby at birth.  The pancreas has developed enough to begin producing insulin, a key factor in breaking down sugars.

This week the baby will grow to about 11.4 inches long and weigh approximately 1 pound!
