Your uterus can now be felt 5 inches above your navel. Your Baby The baby’s brain continues its rapid development. The bones of the baby’s skull have hardened, but not completely. They will remain slightly soft until after birth to allow for an easier exit out of the birth canal. The baby is continuing to breathe under water and build up its lung capability. It will be approximately 17.2 inches this week, weighing about 4.25 pounds. Changes in your Body The uterus will rise to about 5 inches above your navel. As you are continuing to gain one pound per week, about half of the added weight is being gained by the baby. If you begin to experience extreme headaches, lights or spots in your vision, a rapid rise in swelling, such as in the areas of the face, pain in the abdomen, and/or a sickness associated with nausea and vomiting, contact your healthcare practitioner right away, as these may be symptoms of a potentially dangerous condition called pre-eclampsia. I cant wait to meet my baby boy. I am due November 17 but i have completely dropped and i can feel him deep in my pelvic bone. i have been having lower back spasms, constipation, and hard time sleeping. I don't remember having this with my 6 year old daughter. Of course i know every pregnancy is different but Jesus is there any relief besides going into labor lol.
