This week the baby may change the position it has been in until now in preparation for birth. Your Baby Your baby may turn over into a head-down position in preparation for birth. Like a newborn, it’s eyes are open when awake and closed when asleep. You may have already noticed a set sleeping pattern. The baby will reach approximately 17.7 inches in length this week, and will weigh about 4.7 pounds. Changes in your Body If this is your first pregnancy, you may already feel the baby start to press down against your cervix. Your pelvis expands in preparation for labor and you may feel pain in the region. Your navel may protrude, pushed out by the pressure of the growing baby. As you make the preparations for birth, this is a good time to look for a pediatrician. It is best to do this early, so that you are not left searching for the right doctor for your baby after birth. This is my 3rd pregnancy in 4 years and the pain associated with my pelvis is some what unbearable. But this is the most exciting pregnancy yet and the last!!! We are not sure on what we are having so the waiting is the best part. We couldn't find out this time but now i wish that i hadn't found out with the other 2.
