Most babies are born around this time, although you may not go into labor for two more weeks.

Your Baby

The baby will grow to about 20.2 inches long and 7.6 pounds in weight.  It should be making its way into the world any time now.  The average baby is born at 20 inches and 7.5 pounds.

Changes in your Body

Congratulations, you are almost there!  If you think you are experiencing labor symptoms, avoid eating.  Food present in the abdomen during labor can cause nausea - not a feeling you want to add to while experiencing labor pains.

You should know that many first time mothers deliver up to two weeks past their due date.  Only 5% of babies are born on their actual due date, with 90% born from 3 weeks before to 2 weeks after.
