Throughout the last century, spies in books, TV, and film alike have been given a cool, smart, and sexy persona. For those spy-genre enthusiasts who melt with the idea of their tiny tot saying their last name before their full name, (Bond. James Bond.) discover a wealth of spy baby names for your little secret agent here.

There’s no mistaking 007 James Bond for the ultimate undercover agent. But, if you cannot picture your offspring sipping a martini, perhaps super American spies like Simon Templar from The Saint, Jason Bourne from The Bourne series of movies, or Harry Tasker from True Lies may be a better secret surname.

Looking for a name with more international flavor? Spies Napoleon Solo or Illya Kuryakin from The Man from U.N.C.L.E., or François Merlin from Le Magnifique may be the unique baby name you seek just under the radar.

Funny spies Austin Powers from the Austin Powers series of movies, Maxwell Smart from Get Smart, Anton Jackson from Undercover Brother, or even Emmett Fitz-Hume or Austin Millbarge from Spies Like Us may be the covert name you’re looking to give your bundle of joy.

If your baby-to-be is a girl, perhaps you may mull over female spy extraordinaire names such as Alexa from CIA Codename: Alexa or Helene von Lorbeer, aka Frances Hautry, from British Intelligence. Or, maybe Karen Bentley from My Favorite Blonde is the crimson-colored handle that fits her just right.

Still haven’t put your finger on the perfect baby name that tips a hat to this secret profession? Characters like Raymond Shaw from The Manchurian Candidate, Derek Flint from Our Man Flint, Ethan Hunt from the Mission: Impossible series of movies, or Bruce Lee from Enter the Dragon may be the undercover inspiration you need as you seek for your missing moniker.

Spies from TV

Spies from the big screen to the home theatre make an equal impact, and, are a great source for more spy baby names. Take Sydney Bristow from the show Alias into consideration for a daughter who is sure to hold her own. Agent Jack Bower from the show 24 may be best for a babe who takes it one day at a time. Biff and Louise Baker from the show, Biff Baker, U.S.A. are a pair of television spy names for parents who are looking to name future children with the same theme.

Child Spies

Can’t quite see your infant with an adult name quite yet? Many covert kids on the big screen and in literature have led a double life. Cody Banks from the movie Agent Cody Banks makes the double life look super cool. Having twins? Spy siblings Carmen (girl) and Juni (boy) from Spy Kids may be the perfect pair of names for your duo. Or, aspiring kiddie spy Harriet M. Welsch from the Harriet the Spy children’s book may be the inspiration your future spy-baby needs to continue in her namesake’s footsteps.

There is a wealth of spy-character names to be your baby name muse here, but if you haven’t found the perfect spy-themed name for your pea in the pod just yet, you can even head to your local library or video store and engage of a secret mission of your own!

Just saying, under your list of Child Spies, that Alex from the Alex Rider series should be listed, as that is a huge hit series about a teenage spy.
