Baby names are as varied as babies’ personalities, and the choices for baby names may seem endless.  So what is your personal baby naming style?

When choosing baby names, parents tend to lean toward a specific style or genre that speaks to them personally.  Some may like traditional names, while others seek the most exotic baby name they can find.  Finding your niche in the seemingly endless array of possibilities can help you narrow down your choices and come up with a name that feels just right.  Knowing your style and preferences can make choosing names for future babies much easier as well.  In addition, a theme or style that runs through the names of siblings can add a nice touch when listing your children either formally or to acquaintances, in addition to creating an added union between the kids.

How to pin-point your baby naming style

There are a few issues to consider when searching for the name genre that best suits your taste.  Consider names that you have felt an affinity to in the past and currently.  It may help to think of names that you like that are not based on personal associations, such as a best friend whose name you adore.  Your personal life choices and beliefs may pose the biggest influence.   Religion and ethnic background are one of the strongest factors that commonly influence parent’s baby name choices.  If you have a taste for the unique and like a name that really stands out in the crowd, you may want to create an original name or choose a name from some of the world’s most exotic cultures.  Your hopes for your baby’s future may also play a large role.  Do you imagine your baby growing up to be a doctor?  Or do you imagine them climbing the highest mountain peeks and exploring the most remote regions of the world?  Whatever your personality or life preferences, there are names out there that are just right for your baby.

Boudica is what I'm naming my girl, (if it's a girl) and I still haven't decided whether it'll be a middle name or first name.

I think the world needs a new Boudica to stop what America is doing in world politics.
