Some celebrities really have a knack for the unusual when it comes to naming their children. There is the strange, and ultimately uncreative Kyd (David Duchovny and Téa Leoni) and the sweet head-scratcher, Apple (Gwyneth Paltrow and rocker Chris Martin) as well Jason Lee's child, Pilot Inspecktor. Perhaps celebs can get away with these shanaigans because they have celeb power behind them. Whatever the case, if unusual celebrity baby names are your forte, here are the top 10 that are sure to make celebs jealous.

Italia

Paris Hilton may have put place names as first names on the social map, but you can harness a bit of the exotic fun for your little one with a name like Italia. Why use the world traveling theme? Italia is the Latin word for Italy, but no one is quite sure where the word originates from. No matter, it will make a pretty name for your little girl.

Who it's like: Soccer star David Beckham and his wife Victoria Beckham have a son named Brooklyn. American Idol Season 5 contestant Paris Bennett recently gave birth to a little girl, Egypt.

Poe

Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock. Are you an Edgar Allen Poe fan? Yes, he might have been known for the macabre, but he was still an amazing writer whose work is read and discussed by millions each year. Honor his literary genius by naming your baby Poe.

You can honor her (literary) plight by naming your daughter Prinn.

Who it's like: Courteney Cox and husband David Arquette have a daughter named Coco, which although named after a nickname Cox had, also draws up images of Coco Channel.

Chameleon

Your child will grow and develop and change right before your eyes. Why not honor that by naming baby after a lizard that does the name thing. And, if you are into meanings, Chameleon is the Latin-ized form of ancient Greek for on the earth and lion. So, it's kind of like saying your child is a lion of the Earth. Powerful.

Who it's like: Jonathan Davis of Korn and wife Deven named their child the powerful, yet unusual name Pirate.

Serendipity

Having a baby is an amazing, life changing moment and it is surely serendipitious. Remember the joy of it all everytime you say your child's name! The word means good luck or good fortune, both of which a parent probably wishes for their child. Plus the dessert shop in NYC makes a mean frozen hot chocolate.

Who it's like: Penn Jillette of Penn & Teller fame has a child named Moxie CrimeFighter. It certainly does take Moxie to raise a child.

August

There are so many great reasons to name a child August. It's the name of a fantastic summer month. It's the name of a beloved playright (Wilson not required). And it's Latin for great and magnificent. How can you go wrong?

Who it's like: Gwyneth Paltrow's eldest daughter is named Apple. Cause it's sweet.

Heathcliff

Forget the cartoon cat. There is a greater Heathcliff to consider. In the novel Wuthering Height by Emily Bronte, Heathcliff was a rough and rugged character who was deeply passionate, but also deeply vengeful.
