i suggest that if you want to give your child a common name, try putting two together.
my name is Katie-Ann and i feel like so much more of an individual then if my name was just Katie or Ann. it also saves alot of confusion in class since there are alot of Katies and Annes around. i also love it because its different then everyone elses but there is no spelling and pronounciation confusion. WHY SHOULD WE HAVE POPULAR NAMES?
written by Abigail, December 29, 2007
I'm sorry, but I don't think popular names are unique. No offense to people who have names on the top 100 lists, but instead of lets say, Emily, how about Amelia? Or, Kaitlyn, Katarina? I think there should be creative names out there!!!
Nicknames used for actual real names

My name is Scooter so I thought that I should name my daughter something different also, I named her Peanut. This is great for starting conversations with people about where our names came from and why. When she has a child she wants it Punkin, boy or girl.

When I named my daughter Ruby 7 years ago, the name wasn't even in the top 100 girls baby names, now it's at #2!(I picked it initially because it was lovely and was unique!) My 2 year old is named Saffron which thankfully has remained out of the top 100 names!

If I ever have kids, I only want two. So I figured that if they are two girls I would name them Kiara and Olivia and if they are two boys I would name them Liam and Lucas. If I have a girl and a boy they will be Olivia and Liam.
