However, you can shorten it to Sam or Sammy. My name is Samantha Arron. I like my name, although I hear that my name combination is quite common however with the more popular spelling of "Erin" (the way most girls spell thier names). My mom named me Samantha because my daddy always wanted a little girl with my name. She chose Arron because she liked how it all flowed and she liked the spelling. Now as a child I hated my name because I was a tomboy and the boys would always make fun of me saying "Sam's a boys name!"
