I named my 8 month old son Tagen. I have actually never met someone with the name, but my sister has a friend whose last name is Teagen. I heard the name and loved it, he was actually very excited about the change is spelling since people were always pronouncing his last name wrong. and I like it better as a boys name but I chose to name the baby Tagen before i found out the sex. - Kristi

Teagan is a girls name, my name is Teagan Rose and I love it. It means beautiful and I think that it sounds girly(but thats just my opinion). I have never met anyone else named Teagan boy or girl so I guess it doesnt really matter to me. Though no one I've ever met thought it sounded like a boys name. - Teagen

Boy name vs girl name

People seem to get really bent out of shape over rather Teagan is a girl's or boy's name. These days the gender line for names is becoming so blurred I don't think it matters (i.e. Jordan, Logan, Jamie, Avery, etc.) We are having a girl and her name will be Ainsley Teagan which I think is beautiful. - Heather

I love the meaning. But I would feel very uncompfortable naming my child that. So this is what I call my new kitten. I pronounce it differently and spell it Taygen. - Samantha

My son's name is Kai Teagan and it means ocean poet or fire poet depending on which origin/meaning you go by! I love it, and I wanted Teagan for his first name but his dad wouldn't go for it! - Serenyd
