My youngest son is Caleb Andrew and he's now 14. His brothers are Joshua Alexander and Nathan Charles. I worked hard on their names and the meanings to fit the type of men they would become. Middle names are family names. My older two boys are fathers no and my grandchildren are Ezra, Lily and Max...I love those names! Max isn't even born yet, but any day now I'll get to meet him. - Tracy

Caleb is a name i've always loved. Cant decide over what spelling...
Caleb
Caeleb
Kaleb
Kaeleb
Caelyb
Kaelyb
Calyb
Kalyb
Anyways, im not religious, but it's cool it has a good meaning in the bible, incase he becomes religious. Kinda hard to find decent middle names to fit though, however i've found 1 syllable words often work. Any suggestions for middle names to fit?

I have twins named Caleb and Noah. I picked these out because of the temperments they had in the womb. Caleb means bold, and man, would he kick. Noah means rest, and he would just kind of roll around. It's just funny, so I thought I would post the story. - Sharlah

My son's name is Caeleb Josiah. I spelled his name with the extra "e" because I thought it gave just a little extra personality. Besides, growing up with the name "Tracy"--everyone always spelled it "Tracey"--I gave Caeleb the extra "e." - Tracy S.

This is it... I've been looking for a middle name for my baby, just found out today that it's a boy. I'll probably spell it with a 'K', but, for meaning 'like the heart', it's a appropriate. He is our heart! =D - Caitlyn

My Caleb will be 19 in May, I had never heard of the name before i was watching an old rerun of gunsmoke and heard the name. And i thought what a cool name. Not knowing 18 years later that the name would be so popular. - Caleb Alan

I'm in my 50s and did not even meet another Caleb until I was 16 years old -- that's how uncommon the name was back then. Some would say: "Ooh, I like that name, I'll name my baby that," and then I'd see them months later and the name had been used on the family dog instead -- most appropriate given its origins. Once the nickname "Gaylib" landed on me for a summer, but I quickly moved on to the next town.

Don't get me wrong -- I like my name. It's just less odd nowadays. It used to be the mother screaming "Kayler" in the mall was not calling for paranoid me, but now sometimes she really is reprimanding another Caleb.

A Harvard Divinity student once told me that when the first settlers came to New England, they scoured the Bible looking for odd names to poke fun at the British for their religious beliefs. So names like Caleb and Barachias found their way into usage. I've long wondered if this is true. - Caleb Mason

I have a son who is named Zachariah and i think Caleb is cute, not very common, every second child is called Joshua (even tho it is a fab name). A child needs a good solid name compared to the celebrities that think naming a child Apple is cool....more like bananas to me. - Anna-lee
