Jacob was born with a fatal birth defect and died when he was 6 months old. Jacob was a very inspiring baby who spent every moment fighting for his life but he never lost his smile. We used it as a middle name instead. Noah Jacob. both biblical names. And I love to hear my 2yo say to people, " Hi! I am Noah Jacob ------!" Most are surprise that he is so vocal at his age and astounded that he says it so well. It was important to me that he had a strong name and that it would be easier for him to learn how to say and spell. I have long 1st, middle and last so I didn't want my child to have to spell his name repeatedly like i have in my 38 years. We knew that we wanted to name our son Jacob. It is strong name and, as it turned out, perfect for our son. Because our last name begins with "W" we wanted to be careful what his initials would spell. We went with a middle name that begins with "A", because my husband thought that "JAWS" was a great nickname.
