Rare
written by Sanura J.D., December 26, 2007
This is a really rare name. It's my own name and I've never heard of anyone else with it. It's pronounced Sah-noo-Rah and many people have a hard time saying it...until I tell them what it means and then they never forget. My only nickname has been Sunni (sonny). Hope this is helpful for anyone thinking about this name. :)
Not Common
written by Sanura L. C, January 03, 2008
This name is not really common, many people have trouble saying it. I grew up with the understanding that this name, my name, means cuddley as a kitten, not just kitten. I love being unique, I pronounce my name Sah-nu-rah. Nicknames that I've had, Sno, where it came from, I have no clue. It's a nice name..take it from me.
Beautiful

This is the second name of my oldest twin born Jan 2009. I wanted to call her Kitten or Kitty because when she was born 6 weeks early she sounded just like a new born kitten, but being a twin needed two names that went together. We settled for Honey and Sanura as a 2nd name. It definitely suits her :-)
