Around here my name is very common and I was always disappointed because I am not a common, boring girl. However, once people found out my middle name they loved it! I loved being called Amber Lee. And for those who said brown haired Amber's are uncommon.. Come out to PA. We all have dark eyes and hair. My twin girls are going to be Sydney Nykole and Aubrey Anna. My babies will be anything but ordinary.

All Ambers are powerful human beings. I think we all know this. And if white trash pornstars use it, it's probably becasue they wish for that potency. But true Ambers are special. We are healing and we are strong.

I read 'Forever Amber' 35 years ago when pregnant with my first child. She was born a red head like me and I wanted to name her Amber. Her father didn't like the name. He later wished we could change it, but she was highly strung and would not have suited the name.
9 yrs later I had another daughter with golden-red hair and amber-brown eyes. She turned into our miracle child and we called her our 'angel of light'. Born with a quiet angelic wisdom, always to this day a selfless giving person and a delicate, porcelain beauty to match. She is our pride and joy and now has her own wee daugter - Ava - golden haired and as sweet as can be.

My real name is amber and I always wanted a new name even when I was very young. I always felt like I never fit my name and the fact that all the Amber's I new where blond hair and blue eye which for me I'm brown hair and green eyes. So I changed my name to Lexi now. I love the lexi and it fits me way more than Amber.

Not a big fan of Amber
written by Amber J Janusheske, October 05, 2009
My name is Amber June. I've never been a big fan of my name, though my mother likes it. I too, feel like the name has been twisted by the numerous strippers and white trash in the media and local clubs.
Though I do like the "Amber June". I've met many people named "Amber Lee"and "Amber Rose" and I've grown to appreciate my middle name for it's unique quality.
