I named my first son austin b/c that is a great name and i didnt heard that name much until i named my son austin. then you would here of alot of boy named austin.

I named my son Austin because I grew up in Austin, Texas even though I now live in Tennessee. I wanted to pay tribute to a city thats more than just a geographic area but an attitude.

My son is 25. His name is Austin. Named after the Austin Friars, an order of St. Augustine. Between Liverpool St. Station and Bank (in London) there was an archway with Austin Friars on it, all that was left of the 13th century monestery. It is an interesting name.

Im definatly considering Austin as a boy's name. I'm from Melbourne, Australia and there is a hospital here called the 'Austin'. The Austin hospital literally saved both my boyfriend and my lives. I think it will be a great tribute to the hospital.
