This is a lovely name. We name dour son Brigham, but call him Briggs. Other than being asked if we are Mormon (because people are seemingly ignorant- a NAME is not reserved for one religious faith!), we have only had very posit9ive reactions.

I like the sound of brigg, but wonder if there are different spellings for brigham (which I also like)
briggem, brighem, brigam)?
Big, strong name

My son is Brigham, his twin brother is Kelly. Brigham was very small when he was born, which made me nervous about him carrying such a grand-sounding name. But he has definitely grown into the name. I think a small man with a name like that would be odd. I call him Brigsy as a nn, his brother calls him Brig. When we shorten it in writing it is Brigs, I don't get the reason behind adding a G to make Briggs for the nn.
