When I was born, my name was traditionally spelled Brittany, but my mother wanted me to be different. She didn't want me to be named after a dog (Brittany Spaniel, descendant of Cocker Spaniel)... Either way, there were a few people in my school with this name, but they did NOT spell it my way :) I do get annoyed that people can't spell it right even if you stand there and spell it out to them.
