it wasn't so common growing up in the 80s in los angeles
written by c in la, February 07, 2008
everyone thought it was 'christine' or 'kristine', annoying at first but i'm over it. i was the only christina in my catholic school (go figure you would think more in a catholic school) from 1980-1988, enrollment 350. my nickname growing up were actually longer than my name "tina louise"- ginger from giligan's island. there's also chris, c, or christina depending on which phase of my life you met me or how well you know me. now there's christina onasis, aguillera, milian, applegate, ricci, etc. but all were born after me except for onasis i think... still a beautiful name, i love it.

I LOVE my name!!!
written by Cristina C., February 20, 2008
I think my name is awesome!! I love it, but it drives me crazy when people call me Kristen or Cristine. I CANT stand it. The only other error with my name is that my when you spell Christina in spanish it is Cristina, without the "h". It makes me SOOO mad when people spell my name wrong. Once when I was in a girl scout troop my name was stiched onto my vest and they spelled it "Christina", I got SOOO mad, I had to wait a whole extra week for a new vest. Other than that I LOVE my name, its so unique, I've only met one other Christina and she was like 8 years younger than me.Be proud of your name!!
my name is ok

Gift from God
written by Christina B., February 26, 2008
My name is Christina and I love it. Though it is shortened by my friends and almost ALL of my family to Tina. My parents have always told me that it means Gift From God. Which is what I have recently found out. That my mom was not suppose to have a child ever again. But People prayed for her and then she was able to become pregnant with me. When I was born everything that had been stopping my mom from having another child was gone. So I have a younger brother too...God works in amazing ways! And I am truly a Follower of Christ. So another meaning of Christina is Gift from God.

I like my name too and it's still not so common. My family and friends usually call me Chris and others call me by my full name. I like both of these. I also get annoyed though when people call me Chrissy, Christine or Christy.
What better meaning of a name to be a follower of Christ?!

I love my name and always have most of my family calls me chris. I didn't like the spelling of it to much before because I am spanish and as a little girl I wanted to have the spanish version but anywho my mom was going to name me Raquel but she said she had a dream where the virgin mary told her to name me Christina and people were like oo okay. And my last name means star. some people at my work call me the star of Jerusalem. LOL. The thing that makes me mad though is that now one ever gets it right i mean how hard is to remember Christina, I am not Kristin nor Christine its CHRISTINA people.

Another Christina who loves her name!
written by Chrissy, August 25, 2008
I love my name. The story with my name is my Dad wanted a Chrissy and my Mom wanted a Christina so I ended up with Christina. I have been called every various name other than Christina all of my life. Yes I like my nicknames Chrissy, Chris, and "Cissie" my niece came up with that one. I wish people would notice the name before they come up another name for me. I have always hated that.
I lurrrrrrrrve my name!
