I constantly get comments by people about how beautiful my name is. I just hope that one day i can givc my little girl a name just as pretty

I think Deanna is one of the unique names that sounds "normal". My nickname is DJ, but when they hear that my real name is Deanna Jean, they look at me like it's the most beautiful name they have heard. I rarely hear about this name, and I think it's a great name. Yes, I do suffer from misspellings, but DJ makes it very simple. :-)

I am adopted from Romania. My orginal name is Diana Marie Anca. My name is now Deanna Jean Marie. I love my name alot of people in my school have but it means more to me because it was legally changed to suit..i get called "D" and occasionally "DJ" however "D" stuck. I LOVE MY NAME

My mother's name is Deanna and she is the perfact mom! Very loving and understanding. She is everything I wish to be now that I'm a mother of 2 and expecting our 3rd. I love that name so!

I hated it when I was a kid, but it's definitely grown on me. I like having the only name like that. I've probably met a million of emilies, chelseas, jessicas, etc., but I've only personally met two Deanna's before. I've gotten a few Star Trek comments, as well.

My mom was named Deanna also. I love that name. My middle name is part of hers anna. So shes alwasy with me.

My first name is deanna and i always get it mis-pronounced or mispelled, my own aunt doesnt know how to even spell my name!! but i love the name anyway!!

I love my name, but I rarely go by my full name. I'm usually called Dee, which suits me just fine as well!!

I am a Deanna, and I hated it when I was little, but now I would not change it for the world. Some call me D, others Deanna Banana, but I answer to almost anything. I hope I can find a similarly unique name for my daughter to grow into.

I've alway's hated my name because most can't pronounce it or spell it correctly!! But, now that I'm an old woman of 65, I like it a lot better! My Momma named me after the movie star of the 1930's, Deanna Durbin.
I've alway's gone by "Dea" just to be different instead of "D".
My husband named our firstborn daughter, (much to my dismay)after me, Deanna, and his mother, Charlotte,but we always called her "Dede" pronounced DeeDee. Sadly she passed away a few year's ago. So the name will stop with me...maybe somewhere down the line someone else will pick up on it.

I also love my name, I used to hate it as people would always try to call me "Deana" or "Diana" and there is clearly no "I" in my name. Now I don't care and I only let certain people call me "Dee". I have a good yelling name DeAnna Lucinda, I was named after DeAnna Durban, and got my middle name from my GodMother and my fathers initials. Everyone ended up happy, especially since my parents had six boys before me! So the name was a pretty big deal, everyone wanted a say from what I was told. You never tire of hearing the stories of how parents came up with your name. At least I don't.

I've always liked my name, mostly because I was the only one in school with it. Not very many Deannas out there. I was named "Deanna Jane". Just a few close friends call me Dee, my sister calls me Janie.

My name is Deanna Maria. I love it, but one major draw back is that people constantly mispronounce or misspell it. My mother named me and pronounced it as Dee-ON-Uh. That's why I now write my name with oomlots above the "a" :)
