Our Emma Faith
written by Jodi, January 24, 2008
We had read that Emma meant strong woman, and Faith is faithful. We got a surprise when my son was six months old and other surprise when we had to deliver her 3 months early due to my health. She is so strong and such a fighter and has overcome so much already, we do believe that Emma means strong as well as whole.
Also my name :)

It's funny, because the very reason my mom named me Emma Rose was because it was so original thirteen years ago. Now I hear the name Emma all the time, especially on T.V. and in movies. :)

I love the whole idea of having an old, classic name for my daughter. I didn't know that her name meant whole and complete. I found this out after my daughter was born. My husband and I said from the day she was born that she completed us.
I Love this name even though its not mine!

I've always known that I wanted to name my daughter Emma, but I never knew that it had such a wonderful meaning to it! And after reading all the wonderful comments about the name I am even more positive that I want to name her Emma. I also like the name Emmaline, because it is in a way more unique, but still just as pretty, and she can still be called Emma.

July 24th, 1997, my little Angel Emma was born. The name Emma that year was not on the top 50 most popular. The next year, Emma was in the 20's, then higher and higher on the list. It's been #2 in the world for the past four years (hail Emily, the #1 name the past four years). The nurses on her maternity floor said that they hadn't heard "an Emma" for years and years and that ours was the first. She wasn't, we know, but she's first in our hearts.

written by EMMA ELIZABETH ECHO, March 21, 2008
My Emma will be born in July 2008. I can't wait. This is my first grandchild, and my daughter has already named her. I invision my Emma as a little toe headed bundle of energy. I hope she has her mom's blue eyes and her great personality. I am sure that my Emma will uphold the origins of her name-being strong and whole. . .I already love you-Grandma Lori
