My 2 year old sons name is Hunter. I am so picky and it was very hard for me to pick out the perfect boy name. This name is so perfect that I am worried about if I have another little boy -b/c there is no way that I will ever be able to find a name as great as Hunter. I do think it would be weird for it to be a girl name (no offense) as it does sound extremely masculine. CONS: MY Biggest PET PEEVE is when people pronounce it "Hunner." I correct it quite a bit. PROS: I get compliments on it constantly and it's not so common. Very strong name!!

Hunter is a boy name. It's strong and manly. However these days people are making things their own and using it for a girl name is not so bad. My 5 year old is Hunter Gordon. And it fits him to a T. Very much in control very determined. :)

This name reminds me of hunting, which for me carries a negative connotation. No offense to those who like it and/or named their kid this!
