I really like this name
written by Jodie , June 05, 2008
My husband and I have been trying in vain to agree on a name. I came across this name today and I have a feeling that this is the right name. It's a nice, strong name and I hope my husband thinks so too. I'll find out when I ask him what he thinks about it tonight.

My 2 year old sons name is Hunter. I am so picky and it was very hard for me to pick out the perfect boy name. This name is so perfect that I am worried about if I have another little boy -b/c there is no way that I will ever be able to find a name as great as Hunter. I do think it would be weird for it to be a girl name (no offense) as it does sound extremely masculine. CONS: MY Biggest PET PEEVE is when people pronounce it "Hunner." I correct it quite a bit. PROS: I get compliments on it constantly and it's not so common. Very strong name!!

Hunter is a boy name. It's strong and manly. However these days people are making things their own and using it for a girl name is not so bad. My 5 year old is Hunter Gordon. And it fits him to a T. Very much in control very determined. :)

My husband and I are TTC w/Metformin right now and we have already decided on names. We will be naming a boy Hunter Remington. We are a big hunting family and we only use Remington guns, lol. My husband, of course, came up with it.

This name reminds me of hunting, which for me carries a negative connotation. No offense to those who like it and/or named their kid this!
Love it

My sister said this name on a list of names that "couldnt go with greene" that was our maiden name and i said, hunter? and she said yeah, you can have it because brian (her husband) doesnt like it!! I was a few weeks pregnant at the time but she didnt know yet. it was perfect because we had just thrown out the name dylan because it got so popular! Now if we have a boy he'll be Hunter Scott (Scott is hubbys name) or Hunter Lachlan (just love the scottishness of lachlan)
