Katelyn is a beautiful, sweet, girly name. I heard it for the first time when I was 12 (1984) and vowed to name my daughter Katelyn. Ten years went by and I never met another Katelyn until I became a high school teacher. I had one in every class - spelled every way except "Katelyn".

I just adore this name. We named our 7 yr old Katelyn. We knew it was popular but didn't care. It is just such a pretty, girly name. And we chose this spelling because we thought someday if she gets older and wants to go by Kate - it would be easy to do. She is now 7 years old and only goes by Katelyn though!
