written by StephanieJo, March 19, 2008
I was torn between spelling my daughters name Kaylee or Kailey. I went with Kaylee because when you see anything sold in stores with names on it, they spell it Kaylee. My sister is always complaining how they never have things for her daughter with the spelling of her name. So, thats how I made my decision!

Kaylee Marae
written by Kaylee, April 16, 2008
I don't even know how my mom named me, but she had just heard Kaylee, and Marae and liked them both a lot. The thing I like the most about Kaylee is that you spell it how it sounds, it gets so annoying when people can't spell.. But then there's my middle name. It's not that common one of marie.. it's actually marae, like ma-ray. Which I do like it a lot too, but it gets mistaken a lot.

My husband and I just had a little girl in march and named her Kaylee Ann. Kay is my mom's middle name so we wanted to do something with that. We couldn't agree on anything until we found Kaylee while searching online. Ann is my husbands mom's middle name. We have gotten so many compliments on her name. It makes me so happy to see the comments from other Kaylees that love their name!
Kaylee or Ceilidh (the accurate celtic spelling)
written by y8sc, May 21, 2008
Pretty name but means "gathering". In celtic its a kitchen party.
Source:
Besides song, Celtic musical tradition includes fiddling and step dancing and square dancing, all of which are readily available seven nights a week at neighbourhood halls, church dinners, small festivals, and kitchen ceilidhs (pronounced kay-lees).

"It's a Gaelic word that means 'gathering together,' " says Ms. Lamond of the term that has become synonymous with a good old-fashioned kitchen party.
