I have this name
written by Lisa W, November 26, 2007
My name is Lisa. If everyone didn't have this name, I would like it. Way too common. Also, it is too light, needs more substance to it like consonant sounds, I feel the name floats away rather than making an impression. Too soft and fleeting....
It's my name too...

Yeah, I do not like name Lisa. It's not that I've met anybody who I dislike with that name, but I just think it's too lackluster for my personality. It's so generic. Props to those who like it though, I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but Lisa is just not for me. I am getting adopted in 2 weeks, and I plan to change my name then.
My name as well...

I love my name, no one close to me has that name, so it doesn't bother me.
i like it

I think the name lisa fits everyone... some are calm other like to party, then there are people that you don't mess with. its not too fancy, I agree. and i like it that way. its more of a classy name.

I think you should go with the name your parents gave you. they gave you that name out of love, not so you can change it.
doesn't fit

i liked that not too many people had the name, but the meaning doesn't fit me at all. i have never been terribly religious and as i have matured i have given up on the imaginary friend altogether
I LIKE LISA

i personally like the name Lisa alot. I don't actually think the name is common at all and i think the name you were given by your parents rightly fit you. I know a friend who changed her name and it just doesnt fit right, unlike her old name which just suits her so well, and a name most people refer to her by.
Lisa-nasty or nice?

I hate my name was well! Its too simple and too common for my taste and the descript of the name doesn't even fit my personality at all!
Used to hate it...

but I love it now that I have grown up. Most people don't like their name...especially when still in school. However...the older I become (I'm not old...only 24)...the more I appreciate it...especially now that I'm getting married. Losing my last name is making me realize how important my names are to me...and how they do hold so much of my personality in them. If you decide to change your name...I believe you would feel like you've completely lost yourself. So appreciate your name...because it is who you are. As far as the meaning...suits me perfectly! That's just the icing on the cake for me! Take care, Lisas!
I go by Lisa Marie
written by Lisa Marie, September 22, 2008
Hello Lisas! I, like many, never liked my name very much, even though my mom chose it when she was in 3rd grade. Once I got to college, I started going by Lisa Marie, or LM. There were too many Lisas at college. I'm 35 now and "Lisa Marie" suits me, even though i get a lot of Presley comments. Recently, I met my fiance and turns out he always loved the name Lisa!!! For years and years! Guess we have our names for a reason beyond us...
