i kinda like my name as its not very common, although i no lots of people with marie as their middle name. i get called maria, mari, ann-marie and mary sometimes which i find annoying!!im expecting my first child and if its a girl i will give her marie as a middle name!!

I think I have the most recognized use of Marie as a name. My Dad would get so mad at me whenever I didn't use Tina Marie (wouldn't he be disappointed if he saw it's not even listed under Italian names) and now I think I've finally gotten used to it. Marie is everywhere on my Mom's side. It was her Mother's first name, my cousin's middle name, her daughter's middle name, my middle name and I wanted it to be my daughter's (Gianna Marie) but after reading that it means bitter I don't know how well the 2 go together.

Almost every girl I have met (I'm 21) has the middle name as Marie or someone in their family. I have it as a middle name and I personally don't care for it. Both my first and middle name were pretty common in the 80's when i was born in 86. Don't like it.
