I don't know why people like it, I know it means heaven backwards but it has an ugly sound (in my own opinion). Anyway just what I think, what does everyone else think?

I think it is a ridiculous name. I mean, it's just kind of... stupid. I have a very broad vocabulary, and yet that is the only word that describes it properly. I strongly dislike all these 'contemporary' names that have become so popular recently. You know, I like the old-fashioned names that are fading away, and losing popularity. Those are the truly 'unusual' names, if you ask me.

I do realise what the parents naming their kids this mean but isn't heaven backwards the same as... hell? Just a comment I read somewhere which made me dislike this name even more...

I AM able to read. I just find the name a little corny. And I read the hell comment on another namepage and it made me go from thinking Nevaeh was kinda cheesy to thinking "Gee, that's an unfortunate connotation". And I wouldn't want someone to name their kids Nevaeh and then hear that comment and have their kid's name ruinedd.

I also don't like this name - too modern (and a little tacky) for my taste - and I also heard that comment somewhere. I'm glad I'm not the only one who dislikes this name. If I read what Katrine wrote correctly she just refers to a comment she heard elsewhere as an explaination to why she doesn't like it.

This is the name that I picked for my unborn baby girl! All of you that are talking crap about it need to go on somewhere! This is an adorable name and it has a great meaning to it!! Nevaeh is unique and different. Unlike most of the names these days. I LOVE THIS NAME!!

I met this little girl and her name was Nevaeh (heaven beckwards) and her sisters name was Legna (angel backwards) I think it was pronounced LEY-NAH.

So to all you haters if this name wasn't spelled the same as heaven backwards let me guess it would all of a sudden be the greatest name ever because then it wouldn't be like hell or so contemporary. I think if you don't like a name keep it to yourself I think the saying is "IF YOU DON'T HAVE SOMETHING NICE TO SAY THEN DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL" I'm sure all of you have picked such great names for your kids right?

i honestly do not know what to say about it. yes, it does have a weird sound to it, but that is what makes it different. i (personally) would not name my child that, but it is a little cute
