i love the name Donovan for a son, i especially love the meaning... but my husband always thinks og Donovan McNabb and so doesnt want to name our son that :-(

I really like the name Donovan and the plus side of the name is so does my husband. I truly have been every name in the alphabet!!! I am confused about a middle name though. How about Donovan Reign? The only thing is is my name is Leigh and my daughters name is Karleigh. Wouldn't the (eig) in Reign be a little much? Please help!!!

I like the name Donovan because it is very unique but simple. Since the day i found out i was pregnant, this name has been with me. I have been through so many names, but this one is the only one that i really got my mind on. I have been stressing alot during my pregnancy and my baby is still holding on. So with Donovan meaning strong fighter, I think it will fit him perfect. I cant wait until I see him.

This was the only boy name my husband and I could agree on. We love the fact that it's easy but not common. As far as being understandable in every language, my brother-in-law is Hungarian and he and his Hungarian-speaking friends have a hard time saying and remembering the name, LOL. yes, my name is Donovan but Im a girl. I love my name and woulnt trade it for the world. I was named after my granfather who im closest to in my family. As much as I love my name, I somtimes wish I had a girlyer name because Im often assumed to be a boy when teachers hear of me. And I have been teased for both my first name and my second (Noelle) because there was a boy on my grade named noelle. But ive been though alot and being a stong fighter had always been apart of me.
