my daughter's name is spelled aleena. it fit our biracial family well b/c my husband is muslim (aleena means "silk of heaven" in arabic) and my mother's name is magdaleena (spanish/catholic)..... good luck in finding the perfect name for your bundle of joy!

Hi, We will be naming our daughter "Alena" pronounced (A-Lee-Na) But I now notice everyone on here is spelling it " Alina" with the I. which way do you think really spella (A-Lee-Na)?? I thought Alena is right because if someones name is Lena it is spelled with the "E" like Lena Horne. What do you think?

This is my daughter's name pronounced (A-lee-na), I liked it from the minute I met an older cousin of mine named Alina, she was born about 40 yrs ago!! My understanding is that it is an arabic name, but also very common in the Phillipeans!

I named my daughter this, but we spell it Aleena. I've never heard of it until my then 7 yr old daughter suggested it from her fairy movie. Aleena is 17 mos and we get many comments on how beautiful her name is. We also call her Leena, or Leena Beena for fun.
