My name is Kelly, and I think that it's weird that Kelly is a uni-sex name. It's a first, middle, and a last name. The name Kelly can be for girls and boys. But I think people need to STOP naming their baby boys Kelly.(It seems weird)WHAT IS WRONG WITH PARENTS GIVING THEIR BABY BOY A GIRL'S NAME!(Kelly should only be for girls. When I hear a boy tell me his name is Kelly, I can't help but think "poor guy, WHAT THE HECK WAS HIS PARENTS THINKING GIVING HIM A GIRLS NAME" Please get it together parents,Kelly doesn't sound right for a boy(It's just wrong to do that to your baby boy!)

Kelly is perfect for a boy, It is my husband's middle name. And after all the gaelic origin is for a boy and it means warrior which at the time of it's origin the only warriors where male.

is Kelly Christopher. He hates Kelly and so he goes by Chris. A lot of people that know him doesnt know that Chris is not his first name. That is how much he hates it. They had a baby girl in April and I thought it would have been pretty to have named her kelly. But, I didnt have a say...lol!

For anyone who thinks Kelly is not a boy's name, let's just get this straight.
My son is Kelly and when he was about 4 years old I was calling his name on the playground. An older gentleman was sitting nearby and when he saw my SON answering the name Kelly he literally clapped his hands and in the thickest Irish accent said, "Well what do you know? This Kelly is a boy-child, as it should be. In Ireland MEN are named Kelly. Americans think they can do whatever they want with names. A girl named Kelly might as well be called Patrick."
And remember when Michael was a boys name? Now girls are taking that over, too. So get your facts straight before you claim a name for one certain gender. Also, I agree that every male Kelly I have ever known was either good-looking or had loads of charisma (probably from learning to deal with ignorant haters like the first poster on here)or both.
