My name is Kylie. I am 25 and I can't think of a name that I would love more than Kylie. Growing up it was so original. I am pregnant with a little girl and am having a hard time choosing a name as original as mine was.

My Fiance' and I are about to have a baby. If it's a boy we decided to name him after me. If it's a girl we are going to call her Kylie Elizabeth. I can't think of any name that I would want my daughter to be named. It's the sweetest name a girl can have.

The name Kylie, which is my name was derived from a Koori word meaning 'small boomerang' as someone else above has said. It is actually in the dictonary and the meaning is common knowlegde in Australia.
I think that the meaning suits me well, because no matter how hard you try to push me down I will always get back up.. same characteristics as boomerang, if thrown correctly it will always come back.

I just found this name on here, and have been looking for a girl's name that's unique, and has a "y" in it. My husband Donald and i have a son that's almost 5, Jaydon Michael Shook, and a daughter that's almost 2, Ayva Renee Shook. I think i like Kylie Shook for if we have another girl, but not sure of a middle name!...please give me some input! :) thanks!
