I like this name, and am wondering if anyone knows if it's pronounced "Ro-Han" , as in 'hand', or more like "Rowan". (having a baby soon)

I gave my son the middle name Rohan, but we pronounced it like "Ro-Hon". It's a great name either way you pronounce it.

I really like this name too... It is both elegant and strong... According to an Irish friend of mine (who, I discovered, happens to have a cousin named Rohan), it is often pronounced as - "Rohaun". He pronounces it with a very soft 'h'... I suppose, an Irish accent may help also!

Im so excited about this name as I am Irish and my husband is indian and we are due a new baby soon. Its a great fusion of Celtic/Vidic culture. Plus it is a really strong name! hurrah

my name is Rohan, i came on here to find out the meaning of my name. I pronounce it as Rowan, and although it says that this is a boys name, im a girl, so it works well either way
