My name is Robyn and now that I am older I am only now realizing how different and unique it is. As a child I hated my name because I didn't know anyone with the same name. I really does annoy me when people spell my name with an ''i" instead of the proper way it is supposed to be spelled because Robin is only for boys!

My little sisters name is Robyn an shes 10. It suits her well, Robyn Patricia. She too hates it when its spelled with an I, and we dont know anyone else her age with that name, mostly people a lot older than her.

My name is Robynne, I adore it, I'm so glad I was named it! Yeah, people spell my name with an 'i' or without my extra 'ne' sometimes but it's easy to pronounce and I feel special when they learn how it's spelt (which is very quickly!). Wouldn't have it otherwise. I did get teased at primary school, Robin Hood, Batman etc but it stopped after a bit and loads of people tell me they like my name. I've met a few Robyns but no other Robynnes and I really like it because it means I'm not associated with other people.

Why is Robyn only considered a Girl's name and Robin a boy's. I have a good friend called Robyn and he is a boy of that i'm sure.
