My name is Athena. I love it because it's unique and I have yet to meet anyone in America with my name. The only down fall is every guy gets it confused with the goddess Aphrodite. That is probably the only downfall.
I love my name!

My name is Athena and I love it. It's unique in America but fits in well enough. I also think it sound very classic without sounding old.

Unique spelling of Athena

I named my daughter Athina, I love the fact that it has a unique spelling. The name Athena for a person and the name for the city Athens (both pronounced "Athena" in Greek) uses different vowels when being spelled with the Greek alphabet. Therefore her name is spelled as if using the Greek vowel for the name, rather than the vowel used for the city.
Oh yeah, ideal name

Here's a shout out to all Athenas out there! Athena is THE name to have. It is elegant, get's someone's attention without being flashy or un-authentic, helps you feel strong and brilliant when you need it and sounds dignified yet cute. A very smart choice and very unique.
