My name is just Abby, not Abigail. But I wish it were Abigail. It's so frustrating having to explain to everyone that it's just Abby, nothing else. Although, my parents were considering Abbygail, so I guess I'm lucky its not that.

I have always loved this name but when I found out it was the number 8 most popular girls name, I knew I had to do something different. So my soon to be daughter's name will be Abygael Elaine. It seems almost celtic in the spelling and i haven't found it spelled that way anywhere else. Obviously, she will go by Abby. But this spelling is pronounced Abby- Gale. 2 Separate parts. Hope this helps!

I love my name and it's spelled Abagail. I haven't found anyone with the same spelling. My middle name is Brooke which goes along nicely I feel. It's a great name and different but not weird. Go with it, I've always felt soft and compassionate because of it.
