my name is Anáis and I don't like it, no one ever knows how to pronounce it and i spent my life correcting them! Its "AHN EYE EESE"- not ANAY. why my parents couldn't have just picked annie ill never know!

My name is also Anais and i really think its beautiful. It has a lovely meaning and a very nice sound. I originally lived in the US and always had to correct people about the pronunciation of my name, but now i live in Mexico and everyone here naturally say it correctly and they all say how beautiful my name is. I wouldn't change it for anything.

I named my second daughter Anais, pronounced
AH NIGH ISS, and we also get many complements for this name. But many people mispronounce it if they read it before being told the pronounciation. I think it is a beautiful name!

My two middle names are Anais and Ambrose, Anais being the first. My parents always pronounced it ANAY, as when they found the name it was French, and there is no S in the French alphabet (so I'm told). I think that pronunciation is the prettiest, but when I've found other Anais' online, none of them have ever said it my way. I might use it for my daughter, in which case it would be ANAY.

Just like all the others who commented my name is also anais. I hated it growing up but now i love it. Many of my teachers had problems pronouncing it but its very unique and ive grown to like it. I always get compliments on how pretty it is.

my name is Anaïs too. I really like it because its unique. No one can say my name, especcialy teachers, but i dont really care. I say my name 'ah-nah-ess' and I have two dots on the i-ï. I have to thank my sister for this name.. i love it
