Be hesitant when giving this name, one must consider where they live, in Arizona everyone could pronounce my name and knew it well, now in Iowa they say the masculine form with an "a" on the end! Some have even gone so far as to sharten it to Gabe, and God knows how many times they laugh at the nickname "Gabby" I tried shortening it to make it more pronounceable!!!!

it really does depend where you live to have this name. I for once get completely frustrated when my name isnt pronounced correctly. And most of the time i have to correct them. But most of the teachers that I had when i was youger loved my name. And so do I!

i love the name gabriela, but i hate it when they call me Gab.but now they start calling me Gabi.
