I love my name
written by Jessica Lynn, February 28, 2008
My mom had a choice out of Jessica Lynn or Constance Gail and so glad she chose Jessica Lynn. I am 37 years old now and every time I hear children being born today with the name Jessica it makes me feel good to know that is still a popular name. To everyone who hates their name being Jessica, don't because you have a beautiful name.

Yes there were at least 3 other Jessica's in all of my classes, but as I've aged I grown to love my name. It's a sexy name, and you can shorten it so many ways: Jessi, Ica, Jess or just J. I'd have to say that my favorite name these days though has nothing to do with Jessica; it's MOM!! - Yet another Jessica Lynn

we do have a pretty awesome name...very common but also very beautiful! Only thing for me is that people will always get it mixed up with Jennifer!
very common

i have always loved my name even though it is so common. I think it flows really well but i also find that it gets confused with jennifer a lot which gets annoying. I like jessica a lot better than jennifer.
wow its amazing...

I can't believe how many Jessica Lynns there are out there! I have even heard of another Jessica L. Shaw, but her middle name is Louise. I always thought Jessica meant "Grace", but then a few years ago I came across a card my grandmother gave to me and it said "rich" on it. I understand how it would fit... I love you Jessicas!

The name Jessica - Two different scenarios I had
written by Jessica, March 19, 2008
This is my name and I never realized what it felt to have a very common name until we moved here from Italy. I went from having a very unique name (there) that would stand out because at the time it was unheard of. I disliked my name then because it would often be misspelled with a G instead of a J and also mispronounced. I wanted a name like everyone else. Then when we moved to the United States, I became aware of how many had my name. It would be confusing in school. Someone would call out Jessica and I would turn around and it would be another Jessica they were calling or the opposite, they would be calling me and I would ignore it, thinking they were calling someone else anyway. Well, I have to say the idea many have of a Jessica is completely opposite of who I am. It seems weird to me that so many have an idea of a woman named Jessica, how can that be when there are thousands with this name. How could they all be the same type of person. Oh, well. Now, I just accept my name and would not change it as I wanted to for most my life. What is the point.
be proud

I love my name! In my town, it's not really that popular of a name. I know about four other Jessicas and we've made it our own. They don't see Jessicas as snotty preppy people here. We've made it more of a fun-loving happy name ;]
I think it flows well with Marie...Jessica Marie...It's fun to play with the spelling too...Jesyka Maree...but I'll probably grow out of that XD
hum...

Well, sorry to say this but all the Jessica's i have met have been snooty, stuck up people. Guess it doesn't apply to everyone though.
Overall its actually a pretty name. '')
