I love my name, and the spelling. I'm not Hebrew, but I know that "ewe" is a small female sheep denoting purity and delicacy to the name-bearer. I think it's just lovely.
that's me :-)

i looked up the name Rachel a while ago and it said it was hebrew and ment INNOCENT AS A LAMB which really struck me coz all the meanings i've looked up came to the same conclusion: ewe aka sheep aka lamb aka motherly. and to say truthfully all Rachels i know are protectors and motherly like a ewe.
Me!

My name is Rachael Marie and I grew up not liking my name so much, but I've grown to love it over the years (I'm 27 ;-) I love the meaning, and that fact that it's an old name. If it weren't MY name, I'd definitely name my daughter, Rachael. I like my spelling as well -- I used to get frustrated because every item personalized with my name was spelled 'wrong' (Rachel), but the 'Rachael' spelling has gained popularity over the years and now I don't have too many issues with that ;-)

Someone above mentioned that 'Rachael' indicates purity and delicacy... totally doesn't describe me at all.

Although I will agree with the person who says that Rachaels are protective/motherly. :)

Either way, I like my name.

I plan on naming my 2nd daughter Racheal, I've always wanted 2 girls; my first Ryan Marie and Rachael Anne. I think it sounds great together Ryan and Racheal :)
