stole my heart
written by Soon-to-be-Mom-to-Sarah, February 19, 2008
I am due in just a couple of weeks with my third child, second daughter. Our family decided on the name Sarah Elizabeth very early in the pregnancy (Jacob Michael was to be the name if it were a boy). It stole my heart the first time I heard it and said it...we hadn't even come close to having another girl's name to consider.

I like that it is traditional, Biblical, and timeless. I can picture her as a baby, a young girl, and a woman being comfortable and successful with that name.
the name sarah will never run out of style!

I think the name, Sarah, adds a little cuteness to a girl..and has a sense of innocents to it...I think it's beautiful! [=
My sister...

My sister is the first born in our family, I am the second. Her name is Sarah Grace, mine is Rebecca Anne.
Both pretty common, but don't let names define who you are. My sister and I are both one of a kind. ;)
I love my name!

My name is also Sarah Anne, which I liked better than Sarah Jane. However, I think Sarah Kate is the prettiest! I have a friend named Sarah Kate! Yes, it's common, but I didn't think it was as common as the many forms of "Jennifer" were when I was growing up (born in 1978).
From a mother's prospective

It was by accident we named our daughter Sarah. She was intially called Julia ( for 2 days) when my husband said Julia didn't feel right for him. In a tired and sleepy state I asked him to kiss his Sarah ggodnight (as he stayed every night in the hosptital with ne)- WOW where did this name come from? There after our Sarah has been the light of our life and whilst a common name she is absolutely unique. An amazingly beautiful girl with a character like no other. A name is what you make it and just be YOUR self and seize the Sarahness in you.
I've got your name!

My name is Sarah Katherine and i'm still not sure to this day what i think. Anyone?? I dont think i would name my children after me as i think its just too plain and old fashioned. I think there are many more exotic names i can think of. Something with a twist of meaning, rather than biblical.

to the person who said her name ( Sarah ) is too common and there are like 3 Sarah's in her class. It really depends on the part of the country you live in I am from upstate New York and in middle school I noticed that in every class I had there was at least 1 other Sarah and some of my classes there were 3 like you said but when I moved to Georgia it was a lot less common Jennifer seemed to be the name of choice. I love that my name means Princess isn't that great. Sarah will never go out of style and to the person who loves the name Sarah Kate Thank you I have never met a Sarah with that middle name( not ever thinking I was the only one) but most are Sarah Elizabeth which is also very pretty

Common....Yet timeless!!
written by Sarah Marie, April 24, 2008
My name is Sarah Marie....I absolutely love my name. I was named Sarah from the famous Hall and Oats song- Sarah Smile....The song states, "Baby hair, with a womans smile..." My dad said I was born with wisps of baby hair and a big smile and it just suited me!! My middle name comes from my dad's sister's name. This name is rather common, I mean my best friend is also named Sarah!! haha....But it is one of those names that will never go out of style!! The fact that the names means Princess is just a plus!! Live it, Love it and be proud of it!!!!
