i am 23 and for the last 5 plus years i have been set on this name. the rest of the family....not so much. it is original and has a great meaning. with all the stuff men have to go through in life how reasuring to know that God will protect him. i just think it is lovely. what do you guys think?

i have a three year old son and i love that i named him zephaniah and wont ever regret it. i also call him zeph or zehy for short but it's so uncommen and the best part is that he knows how to say his name.

My wife was set on this name for our firstborn. I wasn't so sure at first, so we named him Joshua Zephaniah. But we call him Zephy or Zeph. The name sounds really cool, and once we got used to it - it's a little unusual! - we really like it. We hear rumors that there are other Zephaniahs out there, but we've never met one. Love the meaning, too!

We named our youngest Zephaniah. We usually call him Zeph or Zephy. What I think is that if anyone likes a name, but their family doesn't particularly like it use it anyway, that's what we did with all of ours. The only people that need to like it are the mum and dad.
