I love this name. It's earthy, yet dignified, a little hippie and aristocrat! In the 12 years my son has been named Ethan no one has ever shortened it, or made fun of it, or misunderstood it, and there's never been more than two of them in the whole school! my son is Ethan Trevor, he's brilliant and beautiful.

i named my little boy Lemuel but when he was born i changed it to Ethan Lemuel,and it suits him well,i love the meaning as well

I like the name ethan im expecting a baby boy on march of 2008 and i am name my son ethan manuel after my husband his name is eliah manuel but he wants the baby to have his initials so that's the only name we found that we liked. And so far we haven't changed our minds. It's a wonderful name.

My Ethan just turned 30 years old. Ethan was not a common name in 1978. My son's first and middle name is actually Ethan Allyn, Allyn being my maiden name. Both of our sons have middle names that are family names. His first name fits his personality well as he is an aspiring actor and documentary film maker and you must be strong and constant to be successful in that field! By the way Ethan was a great compromise for my husband and me as I wanted to go very Irish with Ian!
