I named my son Keeran. We used the spelling Keeran instead of Kiran because I knew it would be easier to prounce. Also, the name Kieran is Irish. So, since I am American and my husband is Indian we have a name that has a double meaning and combined spelling.
Most people seem to really love the name, even if some older people have some diffulty pronouncing it correctly. But, the younger American generation reconize it as an Irish name and pronounce it correctly. Since there are now some American actors with the name it helps.
